Jenkins: Swans have approached three clubs
Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has confirmed the club have made three official approaches to clubs as they continue their search to find Paulo Sousa's successor.
Jenkins insists the club will not rush any appointment but is willing to pay out compensation to ensure the Championship side get the right man.
Sousa left the club to join Leicester after just one season at the helm, leaving the Swans to search for a new manager for a third successive summer. They are believed to have already failed in their attempts to lure Gary Speed and Billy Reid to the Liberty Stadium, although Jenkins remains coy on the identity of the people approached by the club.
"I can confirm that we have made just three official approaches to different clubs about speaking to potential managerial candidates," Jenkins told the club's official website. "It would be unfair for me to confirm those candidates or clubs at the moment.
"I can assure our supporters that we are more than happy to pay compensation for the right man - and clubs are aware of that.
"While I'm mindful that the supporters would like to see someone in place as soon as possible, we will not make a rash decision by rushing into things. When we make an appointment, it has to be the right one."
