I wont be pulling out of any challenges says Swansea star Michu

Swansea forward Michu has stressed he has no intention of pulling out of any challenges in Sunday's Barclays Premier League home clash with Manchester United, despite his hefty collision last weekend.

The Spaniard was floored towards the end of Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Tottenham following an aerial challenge with Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. Having been caught unintentionally by Lloris on the head as the France international punched the ball clear, Michu was left lying motionless on the turf.

He has since made a full recovery and has emphasised that the incident will not deter him from giving his all to win the ball when league leaders United visit the Liberty Stadium. Michu told www.swanseacity.net. "I am a player who wants to win the ball and if that means getting hurt in the process then that's fine."

Michu, who has scored 12 top-flight goals this season for the 10th-placed Swans, added: "It was a big collision between me and Lloris. We both went after the ball and it was unfortunate for me that he just got there first. I was in pain - I had a headache until Tuesday - but it was no one's fault.

"If the opportunity arises again this Sunday against Manchester United I will go through it again; I won't be pulling out of any challenge like that because I want to score for my team."
