Francesco Guidolin to hold talks with Ki Sung-yueng following substitution spat

Swansea boss Francesco Guidolin has to deal with a second substitution spat in the space of seven days.

Having publicly fallen out with Neil Taylor after hauling him off before half-time against Chelsea last weekend, Guidolin blasted Ki Sung-yueng's attitude at being substituted at Southampton on Sunday.

Taylor was left out of the squad at St Mary's and now Guidolin will hold talks with Ki after his angry reaction to being replaced in the 66th minute of the Swans' 1-0 defeat.

"This is not a good attitude, I will have to speak to him," he said. "I respect all my players but the relationship between them and me is very important.

"There is no problem with respect between me and the players, in this squad I have found good guys and good players.

"I can understand it, but it's not a good situation."

Guidolin did confirm that Taylor is set to return to the Swansea squad when they face Manchester City in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.

Charlie Austin climbed off the bench to secure Southampton's first Premier League win of the season.

The striker watched his team-mates spurn a host of chances with Nathan Redmond the chief culprit, skying a sitter from eight yards.

Austin had been on for just 10 minutes - and already hit the crossbar - when he controlled Dusan Tadic's deflected cross and hammered it into the net.

The goal secured a first top-flight victory for relieved Saints manager Claude Puel.

"It's a good feeling," admitted the Frenchman. "Also it's very important for my players.

"It's difficult when you don't score from all those chances. But congratulations to my players - they kept a good attitude, a good spirit and a good structure to create those chances.

"To finish with a victory is very important for the confidence."
