The Swans were handed a weekend off after their game against Middlesbrough was postponed on Friday after the freezing weather conditions in the north-east were deemed unsafe for travelling supporters.[LNB]Cotterill, who became the club's record signing last week when he completed a £600,000 permanent switch from Sheffield United, has underlined the importance of getting one over their promotion rivals.[LNB]The 22-year-old told Wales on Sunday: "Saturday's got an edge to it because they're right up there with us. This has always been a tough league and things will go down to the wire again.[LNB]"As it stands, everyone's only a couple of points off each other and if anyone loses three games or so you'll find yourself in the bottom half.[LNB]"But the important thing is to stay in and around that top six and that's why you have to beat the teams around you."[LNB][LNB]
