Portsmouth have extended Wales international David Cotterill's loan spell from npower Championship rivals Swansea until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old initially joined last month, making his debut in the 1-0 home victory over Barnsley, and has made seven appearances, scoring once.

Boss Steve Cotterill told the club`s official website: "He has done very well for us. I've been very pleased with him.

"He keeps his width which we are pleased about. He is not your big right winger who will jump up at the far post and win headers but I think he has been like the other boys - he has come in, mixed with them and settled in very well."
