Britton braced for boo-boys

Swansea old-boy Leon Britton is bracing himself for a hot reception when his new team Sheffield United take on Cardiff on Sunday. The midfielder was a regular during a seven-year stay with the Swans, and he is well aware his Championship debut for the Blades will be a baptism of fire. Nevertheless, Britton is determined to ignore the boo-boys and is looking forward to furthering his career with Kevin Blackwell's men. "I'm sure the Cardiff fans are going to be rolling out the red carpet for me," he told The Star. "I'm sure they are going to give me an absolutely wonderful reception. "But seriously, it won't bother me one little bit. In fact, if I'm selected, then I'm going to make sure I really enjoy the occasion. The Cardiff fans are certain to give me a load of stick but it won't put me off. "Hopefully I'll be playing my first game for my new club and I'm really looking forward to it, not least because I'm excited about what the future holds here."
