Wickham 'sad to leave' Town

Ipswich striker Connor Wickham has revealed his sadness following his £8million move to Premier League side Sunderland.[LNB] The 18-year-old returned to the Tractor Boys' training ground to bid his former team-mates farewell after sealing his switch to the Stadium of Light last week.[LNB]He told the club's official website: "I have been at Ipswich since I was 11 so I'm sad to leave, but I feel I'm ready to take the step up.[LNB]"Everyone at Ipswich has been brilliant to me in my time at the club; the coaches, the players, the fans. I want to thank them all for the help they have given me down the years.[LNB]"I have enjoyed the craic with the lads as well and I want to wish the club all the best for next season.[LNB]"I'd love to come back soon and play again at Portman Road against an Ipswich team in the Premier League."
