Sunderland's Kieran Richardson is pushing for a recall for the Barclays Premier League trip to West Brom after overcoming a calf injury. Captain Dean Whitehead is also back in training after a leg injury and is included in Ricky Sbragia's squad. Nyron Nosworthy is ruled out after hurting his hamstring playing for the reserves in midweek and George McCartney remains sidelined.
