Sunderland defender Michael Turner reckons Black Cats manager Steve Bruce can help him improve as a player.[LNB] Bruce won 12 honours - including three Premier League titles and three FA Cups - during his successful time as a player at Manchester United but was never capped by England at full international level.[LNB]Turner, brought to the club by Bruce after an impressive spell at Hull, told the Evening Chronicle: "It's been great for me to work under Steve Bruce. He is a very experienced manager in the Premier League and as a player he had a great career with Man U in the position that I play in.[LNB]"You can't fail to pick things up from someone with as much experience as he has. I'm sure that working with him every day in training has helped me out and long may it continue.[LNB]"It's a massive compliment to have someone like Steve Bruce rate you enough to want to sign you. He won every domestic trophy going and also captained Man U when they won European trophies, so he knows all about playing at the very top level.[LNB]"He obviously saw something he liked in me and that's something I can be proud of."
