Trio Ready For England Clash

Three Sunderland players have been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for four upcoming internationals.

John O’Shea, James McClean and Keiren Westwood have all been called up by coach Giovanni Trapattoni ahead of the friendly against England at Wembley next Wednesday (May 29).

The Irish will then face Georgia at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on June 2 before hosting the Faroe Islands at the same venue five days later in a World Cup qualifier.

The squad will then travel to the United States for a friendly against Spain on June 11, with the game set to be played at the Yankee Stadium in New York.

Meanwhile Seb Larsson has been confirmed as a member of the Sweden squad to play three friendlies next month.

The Swedes host Macedonia in a friendly in Malmo on June 3 before heading to Vienna for a clash with Austria four days later as part of their World Cup qualifying campaign.

The Faroe Islands then visit Solna in a qualifier on June 11.
