Keeper to say on at Lincoln City Sunderland’s third choice keeper Trevor Carson is due to gain an extension to his current loan deal at Lincoln City.   The paper work is signed and sealed, just waiting for the football league to give it the green light, which will see the Irishman remain an Lmp until April. Carson has made 9 appearances though his current loan deal which was for one month, but the extension is believed to be given the go ahead today.  The keeper was hero of the day for Lincoln this weekend after saving a penalty against league leaders Chesterfield. Sunderland signed Carson in 2004 but has only ever reached the first team’s bench in his first four years, first team experience was need for the young keeper so he was loaned out to Chesterfield for the 2008-2009 season in which he made 18 appearances.   But was recalled part way through the loan contract with Sunderland struggling with injuries to their keepers.  He signed a new deal soon after to keep him with the Black Cats until 2012, but again has been loaned out to Lincoln. The Northern Ireland under 21 international has also represented his home country 11 teams and has been on the bench once for the first team.
