Tigers withdraw Murphy interest

Hull City have pulled out of a deal to sign Sunderland striker Daryl Murphy after the parties failed to agree terms. The Tigers had agreed a £1.5million fee for the 26-year-old earlier this week as Phil Brown looked to bolster his attack. However, the transfer has now collapsed after a meeting on Thursday. A club statement read: "Hull have withdrawn their interest in Sunderland's Daryl Murphy after negotiations over personal terms broke down." Hull have already been frustrated in their attempts to sign a forward this summer after Fraizer Campbell, Marc-Antoine Fortune and Michael Owen all opted for moves elsewhere.
