The Day Micky Horswill Decked Alan Clarke

Former Sunderland midfielder Don Hutchison says football has changed since the days they kicked lumps out of each other.
May 5th 1973, Wembley Stadium, 3.05pm and Micky Horswill (pictured right) legged it 30yrds to give Leeds United striker Alan Clarke the biggest "decking" he had ever had in his career.
It didn't even get the Sunderland defender a yellow card, but Black Cats skipper Lee Cattermole has seen red five times in his time on Wearside and Hutchison says he needs to wake up and smell the coffee.
Titus Bramble gave Cattermole his backing today, but it didn't take away the stinging comments from the former Liverpool player.
Hutchison, who played for Sunderland under Peter Reid and now works as a TV pundit, said: “I honestly don’t see a player in Lee.
“The game has moved on now to have someone that just runs around picking up yellow and red cards all the time.
“I think most of the time he tries too hard.
“He wants to become an enforcer, if you like but modern-day footballers can easily play around that sort of player. He has to change.”
