Simon Jones is Sportsmail's man on the inside of all the major transfer moves this summer. [LNB]His column, published every weekday, offers an insight into the deals which will be done and those that won't - and why. [LNB]A 5/5-rating means The Insider reckons it's a done deal; 0/5 means The Insider has his mortgage on it not happening.[LNB]Don't miss your daily Insider instalment here.[LNB] PAPISS CISSE Freiburg to SunderlandTHE INSIDER says: 3/5[LNB]DIRK KUYT Liverpool to Inter Milan THE INSIDER says: 2/5[LNB] [LNB] [LNB]The home defeat to Newcastle will nothave gone down well at the Stadium of Light after the summer transfer dealings that took place. [LNB]Manager Steve Bruce still believes he is shortof the most expensive element which is a reliable striker. [LNB]Asamoah Gyanhas ability but there are doubts about his commitment to Sunderland whether he is merely using them as a stepping stone to somewhere else.[LNB] Sunderland have Connor Wickham but don't want to burden him with too much pressure too soon. [LNB]They want another centre forward and ideally want a left-sided forward.[LNB] James McLean has come in from Derry and will develop but Bruce is eager to persuade Craig Bellamy to come from Manchester City and would still like either Peter Crouch from Tottenham or Papiss Cisse from Freiburg. [LNB]Crouch would be ideal but is not keen on the north east while the gamble with Cisse is that despite a good goalscoring record he is not proven in the Premier League.[LNB]Both would cost around ?10million to ?12m but Bruce may struggle to get more money with selling first. [LNB]The Dutchman is well settled at Liverpool and could have easily left under Roy Hodgson had he wished to force a move to Inter last summer and back in January. [LNB]He also started Kenny Dalglish's reign well but was puzzled to be left out of the starting line-up for the opening Premier League with Sunderland. [LNB]He cameback, however, and played well against Arsenal on Saturday. [LNB]He has had his critics during his time at Anfield but no-one can ever question his workrate and commitment to the cause even when he is off form. [LNB]Kuyt is good friends with Inter's Wesley Sneijder whose own future remains in doubt and that could have a bearing on any decision he makes. [LNB]Inter havebeen weighing up their options with the sale of Samuel Eto'o to Anzhi Makhachkala about to go through and Kuyt is on their list of targets. [LNB]Liverpool need to offload players but would rather keep Kuyt unless the offer is too good to refuse as they need his versatility. They want to bring in another centre-back and a young striker but will look to sell at least two players this week.[LNB]  MARCO STORARI Juventus to Chelsea THE INSIDER says: 3/5[LNB]CHRIS BAIRD Fulham to West Brom THE INSIDER says: 3/5[LNB] [LNB] Sportsmail reported Chelsea's interestin the Juventus goalkeeper over the weekend and talks are ongoing. The 34-year-old was actually a target for former manager Luis Felipe Scolariwhen the keeper was at Fiorentina and following his performances standing in for Gianluigi Buffon last season, Chelsea consider him an ideal experienced addition to their squad. Juventus would like to negotiate with a deal for long-time target Alex but Chelsea are reluctant to move the Brazilian on while they have concerns about defensive cover. Hamburg are keen on young centre half Slobodan Rajkovicwho despite his ability is proving frustrating for Chelsea as they failto get a work permit for him. A sale may be the easiest solution if allparties agree. Alex is keen on a move to Juventus if they can strike a deal but Andre Villas-Boas would need another centre-back. He has concerns over David Luiz and, while Branislav Ivanovic can always play in the centre, he may yet opt to bring in Birmingham's Scott Dann or shell out for Gary Cahill.[LNB]Sportsmail revealed West Brom's interestin out-of-favour Fulham defender Chris Baird last week and other clubs are showing interest also. [LNB]Baird has found himself frozen out since the arrival of Martin Jol as manager and has not been involved in Fulham's opening two Premier League games. [LNB]West Brom manager Roy Hodgson sees Baird's versatility as a big plus in that he can play in defence and midfield as he knows from his time as Fulham manager. [LNB]Hodgson was keen on Birmingham's Liam Ridgewell but Baird could prove a cheaper option with Fulham looking to sell for around ?2million. [LNB]Manager Martin Jol hasmade enquiries for at least four full-backs with Serge Aurier, Miguel Lopes, Cristian Zaccardo and Samuel Inkoom among them and is keen to bring in another two forwards with one able to play wide. So his intention to change is clear. [LNB]Albion also hope to sort out a deal with former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves but a move for Bairdmay leave others at the front of teh running for Birmingham defender Ridgewell.
