Sunderland midfielder leaves on loan

SUNDERLAND midfielder Liam Noble has rejoined Carlisle United on an initial six-month loan deal until 3 January 2012. The former Black Cats trainee, 20, heads back to Brunton Park following a successful loan spell with the Cumbrians last season which included a Johnstone's Paint Trophy winners' medal at Wembley. Noble links up with Greg Abbott's side after making 18 starts for the League One side, scoring three goals. Steve Bruce said: "Liam gained valuable experience at Carlisle last season including an appearance at Wembley. We will continue to monitor Liam's development and wish him all the best."
