SUNDERLAND forward Jordan Cook has joined League One side Walsall on loan until the end of the season.[LNB] The 21 year-old joins the Saddlers after making his Premier League debut for the Black Cats just 12 weeks ago, coming on as a second-half substitute against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Boxing Day.[LNB] Cook, a former Hetton School pupil, had his 2009-10 season curtailed by injury after suffering cruciate ligament damage, keeping him sidelined for seven months.[LNB] But after bouncing back for the 2010-11 campaign, Cook has enjoyed a bright spell in Keith Bertschin's reserves side, providing a valuable assist in last week's 2-2 draw against Manchester United.[LNB] He arrives at Walsall with Dean Smith's side just a point away from safety in the League One drop zone after a resurgence in form, including Saturday's thumping 5-2 win at home to Hartlepool.[LNB]
