Sporting Gijon striker Mate Bilic has set his sights on a move to Barclays Premier League, with Sunderland tracking his progress.
The Croatian has notched four times for his club this season but could be sold to ease financial concerns at El Molinon.
The 29-year-old made his international bow in October, and scored his first under namesake Slaven Bilic in a friendly Liechtenstein a month later.
Sunderland have managed just a touch over one goal per game this season as their season has imploded after a promising start.
'I have always had a lot of interest in the Premier League because it is a great league,' he said.
'I have many friends playing in England and they have told me great things about it.
'For now my objective is to play well and to score goals for Sporting, but it is possible that something could happen in the summer.'
