Pool's take on O'Donovan Hartlepool United today have confirmed the loan signing of striker Roy O'Donovan until the end of the season, in which his contract expires with Sunderland.  The Irishman will be out to impress ex Sunderland goal keeping legend Chris Turner in hope to earn himself a contract, with next to no chance of a renewal at Sunderland O'Donovan will be available on a free transfer. After a week’s trial with Hartlepool United Turner commented, "He has genuine pace which I feel we've been lacking, we've watched him over a period of time and have been delighted to have the opportunity to look at him in training". O'Donovan could make his debut as early as tonight as Hartlepool take on Carlisle United.
