Sunderland Star Insists 'There's Not A Lot Wrong'

02 January 2013 16:07
Stephane Sessegnon says Sunderland fans don't have much to worry about ... the team will be fine.

Stephane Sessegnon: “We were unfortunate against Spurs because we did well to get in front at half-time.

“We hadn’t had many chances, but then neither had Spurs.

“We looked good on the ball, and to score so close to half-time, gave us a big boost.

“But for them to score so quickly in the second half was hard to take.

“It was difficult for us after that. At 1-0, we wanted to make sure we started the second half well, and got through the first few minutes without conceding a goal.

“And then for them to get a second so quickly was doubly difficult.

“Tottenham are a team who are playing really well at the moment, and are so good with the ball.

“It was difficult for us to get enough possession to hurt them.

“The second goal didn’t arrive, but at the same time, we still kept going to try to get that equaliser.

“There was not a lot wrong with how we approached the game or how we played.”
