Sunderland have secured the signing of Hull City defender Michael Turner for an undisclosed fee. The 25-year-old centre-back has agreed a four-year deal with the Black Cats and becomes the club's seventh signing of the summer. Turner's future has been the subject of conjecture of late, with Liverpool linked with an interest. But the stopper has now opted to join Steve Bruce's Sunderland, who have won two of their opening four games of the new Premier League season. Turner joined Hull from Brentford in 2006 and made 129 league appearances for the Tigers.
