Sunderland ponder move for Birmingham winger Sebastian Larsson

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is considering a move for Birmingham's ?15million-rated winger Sebastian Larsson in the summer. [LNB]The Sweden international is out of contract at St Andrew's in the summer and is therefore available on a free transfer, which has made himan attractive target for many. [LNB] Mulling over future: Sebastian Larsson (right) could leave Birmingham [LNB] The 25-year-old, who is out of contract in June, could leave on a Bosman transfer after five years at St Andrew's. [LNB]Larsson has told Blues manager Alex McLeish he has not made his mind up regarding the future. [LNB]Sunderland's arch rivals Newcastle are understood to be very keen on him and the Blues themselves have not given up hope of persuading him tosign on with them for a longer contract.[LNB] That will depend on their battle with relegation.[LNB] If Birmingham do drop out of the Premier League then the Carling Cup winners' chances of keeping hold of Larsson are almost nil.
