Gordon Strachan has resigned after four years in charge at Celtic. The Scot, who is a frontrunner for the vacant Sunderland job, told Parkhead chief executive Peter Lawwell he was walking out just a day after losing the Scottish Premier League title to Rangers. He said: 'I have enjoyed my time immensely at Celtic and clearly I will be sad to leave this great club.'
