Sunderland manager Steve Bruce targets Tottenham's Alan Hutton

According to the Mirror, Bruce has been sending his scouts to monitor the 25-year-old's progress this season as he looks to bolster his backline following a series of under par performances from Phil Bardsley and Paulo da Silva. [LNB]The report also claims that despite a deal to bring Hutton to the Stadium of Light in exchange for Anton Ferdinand falling through this summer, Bruce believes Harry Redknapp will be willing to sell come the new year.
