Sunderland Linked With Two Defenders!

Sunderland are continuing their search for a defender and have two players on their "wanted" list.

Martin O'Neill has added FC Groningen's Virgil van Dijk, 21, and Kader Mangane, 29, of Al Hilal to his list of targets.

Van Dijk (pictured right): "I'm aware of the interest of a few clubs and Everton is one of them'.

"I hear and read a lot. Soon I have dinner with my agent Henk-Maarten Chin. He will tell me how things are going.

"I enjoy the interest, but if I leave it must be a good decision when I leave."

Mangane, who has six caps for Senegal, left French club Rennes last summer to join the Saudi Arabian outfit Al Hilal.

The 6' 5" former Senegal international, who has been a target for West Ham and Arsenal.

He was suspended for two months for breaking the leg of Valenciennes midfielder Jonathan Lacourt.

Al Hilal president Prince Abdulrahman: "Today we received the official bid from Sunderland for Mangane, we will look into the offer and consider our position and we may see the player leave Al-Hilal this month."
