Sunderland are the latest club to show an interest in PSV Eindhoven striker Ola Toivonen according to a report in the Daily Mail. Steve Bruce had scouts watching him at Swedens Euro 2012 qualifier against Holland, Toivonen scoring the winning goal and giving Sweden a 3-2 victory.

Liverpool and West Brom were amongst the clubs previously linked with Toivonen with a 9 million bid likely to be the price PSV are aiming for.

Sunderland will be keen to bring the 25 year old in after losing Asamoah Gyan to Al-Ain on a season long loan. Steve Bruce has identified a number of other targets incase the deal falls through.
