Sunderland's new signing Lorik Cana will have x-rays on a suspected broken hand. The Albania captain suffered the injury in the first-half of Tuesday's 3-1 defeat to Chelsea at the Stadium of Light and played on with a bandage after the break. The summer signing from Marseille will see doctors today and must be a doubt for Blackburn's visit to Wearside on Saturday. Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has several injury concerns before the weekend clash with Sam Allardyce, who was at the Chelsea game. Steed Malbranque missed the game with an ankle injury, Kieran Richardson passed a fitness test on a dead leg to play and Lee Cattermole was substituted after suffering a back injury. All three will be closely monitored before Saturday.
