Sunderland eye midfield duo Jan Polak and Jaroslav Plasil

Sunderland are on the trail of Czech Republic midfielders Jan Polak and Jaroslav Plasil.[LNB]Manager Steve Bruce wants to add more attacking flair to his midfield and take the weight off striker Darren Bent.[LNB]Sunderland scouts have watched the two players recently and are scheduled to watch them in action again against Scotland on October 8.[LNB] Hit list: Bordeaux's midfielder Jaroslav Plasil (centre) is wanted by Sunderland[LNB]Anderlecht star Polak, 29, is a box to box style midfielder with over 50 caps. He almost joined Galatasaray in the summer but instead was persuaded to sign a one year contract extension tying him to the club until 2012.[LNB]Plasil, 28, is at Bordeaux and is more attack minded. He can also play left sided midfield.
