SUNDERLAND ended their four-match losing run with a battling draw at Arsenal.[LNB] The Black Cats goal led a charmed life at times, but a combination of the woodwork and a colossal performance from Simon Mignolet frustrated the Gunners, who were looking to steal a march in their race for the title.[LNB] Mignolet, who is likely to keep the goalkeeper's jersey for the forseeable future owing to Craig Gordon's troublesome knee injury, was the star of the show, denying Nicklas Bendtner in the first half, Samir Nasri in the second from a free-kick, and Bendtner again in injury time as Arsene Wenger's team pushed for the winner.[LNB] At the other end, Danny Welbeck returning from injury went close to scoring when he smartly turned and shot late in the game.[LNB] But Sunderland will be satisfied with their point as they go into a two-week break before taking on Liverpool at the Stadium of Light.[LNB] ARSENAL : Szczesny; Sagna, Clichy, Koscielny, Djourou; Denilson (Chamakh 62), Diaby, Nasri, Wilshere, Arshavin; Bendtner. Subs: Almunia (gk), Rosicky, Ramsey, Squillaci, Eboue, Gibbs.[LNB] SUNDERLAND : Mignolet; Ferdinand, Mensah, Bramble, Bardsley; Malbranque (Welbeck 69), Sessegnon, Muntari, Henderson (Colback 88), Richardson; Gyan (Elmohamady 79). Subs: Gordon (gk), Riveros, Knott, R Noble.[LNB]
