Nyron Nosworthy has moved a step closer to a recall after coming through another run-out as Sunderland secured the Barclays Premier League Reserves League North last night. The Jamaica defender has been out for two months with a hamstring injury but is ready to reclaim his place for the crucial game against Hull City this weekend. Nosworthy was the only senior player in the Sunderland side which pulled off a 3-0 win over Manchester City to seal the reserves' league title. Neil Bailey's team overpowered City at the Regional Sports Arena with goals from Jean-Yves M'voto, Jamie Chandler and captain Jack Colbeck. Bailey, manager Ricky Sbragia's assistant, said: 'It's a fantastic achievement by the lads, they have had the bit between their teeth from day one. They have been top for so long and that is not easy to do no matter what level you play at. They deserve a lot of credit.'
