Sunderland announce opening pre-season game
Sunderland will play their opening pre-season game against York City at Bootham Crescent on Wednesday, July 13.[LNB] The game, which is scheduled to kick off at 7.30pm, comes a week after the Black Cats players return to training.[LNB] The Minstermen, managed by former Nottingham Forest midfielder Gary Mills, are preparing to target a return to the Football League for the first time since 2004.[LNB] York finished eighth in the Blue Square Premier last season, just 12 months after losing out to Oxford United in the Play-Off Final at Wembley.[LNB] Ticket information will be confirmed in due course and Sunderland's full schedule of pre-season fixtures will be confirmed in the coming days.[LNB]
