Stoke agree Collins fee

Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has confirmed they have accepted a bid from Stoke for defender Danny Collins. Despite Collins holding transfer talks with the Potters, he was still named on Sunderland's bench in Saturday's meeting. Collins had started all of the Black Cats' league matches this season prior to their trip to the Britannia Stadium, which ended in a 1-0 loss. "We've accepted an offer from Stoke," Bruce told Sky Sports. "We've given the opportunity to Danny to see what he wants to do." Stoke boss Tony Pulis refused to name Collins after the match, but confirmed they are looking to strengthen before the window closes. "We'll see what's there. We've got our targets. We've got to be patient," he said. "We'll hopefully do a bit more business before the window closes."
