SOL No Place For 'Monkey Gestures'

A Sunderland fan has been charged with making 'monkey gestures' at an opposition player during a game at the Stadium of Light.

The 21-year-old, who has not been named, was arrested after police received complaints of racist behaviour at the match v West Bromwich Albion in November.

Following extensive inquiries, he has subsequently been charged with a racially aggravated offence, and bailed to appear in court.
