Argentine attacking midfielder Ignacio Scocco is in line for a move to English Premiership strugglers Sunderland, media reports said Monday.
Scocco, 28, only joined Brazilian outfit Internacional last July following a spell with Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates.
Laat season, Scocco went on loan to Newell's Old Boys, where he began his career, having previously spenta three years in Greece with AEK Athens.
Newell's and River Plate are also interested in a move for Scocco, but Brazil's Lance sports daily quoted his father as telling Argentine radio La Red as saying England was his likely destination.
Scocco senior added that Sunderland's Uruguayan coach Gustavo Poyet had been in contact and wanted to make an approach for the player, who has one Argentine cap to his name to date.
