Sbragia hints at Jones rest

Sunderland manager Ricky Sbragia is considering resting battle-weary Kenwyne Jones in the coming weeks. Although a knee injury curtailed Jones' start to the season he has now made 21 Premier League appearances for the North East outfit. The Black Cats striker led the line in Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Manchester City before being replaced by Djibril Cisse late on. Sbragia has now conceded Jones is feeling the effects of a tough season and has hinted he may not start him in their next match at West Ham. Sbragia told the Sunderland Echo: "Kenwyne is tired. "He's come back well for us and he's got us goals, but he's had a lot of games now and maybe it is beginning to show. "He's having to nurse himself along and we aren't seeing him on the training pitch until Friday."
