Sbragia expects United help
Sunderland manager Ricky Sbragia is confident Manchester United can help his side survive in the Premier League.
The 16th-placed Black Cats are sweating on their top-flight status following Monday's defeat at Portsmouth as they could now be caught by rivals Newcastle - who visit Aston Villa on the final day of the season - and Hull City.
Hull host league winners United on Sunday hoping to take advantage of their opponents' focus on next Wednesday's UEFA Champions League final, with the Red Devils likely to field a weakened side.
But Sbragia is confident that any team United boss Sir Alex Ferguson selects will have the quality to defeat Hull, giving Sunderland - who welcome Chelsea to the Stadium of Light - an increased chance of survival.
Simple
He said: "Manchester United will play a team that can beat Hull, it's as simple as that.
"I can understand they have got their minds on the Champions League. If I was in that situation, I would.
"But they have got a lot of depth in their squad and some very good young players as well, so whatever team they put out, they will totally believe they can win the game, and that's all we can ask for.
"Man United will always play the same way. They are very difficult to beat, they do score goals and I would have thought he would put a team out to do that.
"He won't put a team out of youth players, I will tell you that now.
Jones rumours "Whatever team he outs out, I think it will be enough, hopefully, to beat Hull.
"I wish Chelsea were in the Champions League on Wednesday, to be honest with you."
Meanwhile, Sbragia insists he had not spoken to striker Kenwyne Jones about reports he could leave the club if they are relegated.
He added: "I don't really know, I have not really spoken to him about it, about the other side, I have only spoken about us staying in the Premier League.
"I don't know. I have not taken much interest in it, I have just tried to focus on the game on Sunday."
