Rose Will Stay With Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has ruled out selling Danny Rose to Sunderland on a permanent deal.

Andre Villas-Boas: "A permanent move is impossible because we have great expectations for the player, he has a bright future.

"We appreciate what he's been doing over here and it's been a great experience.

"He's been extremely well managed. We can't give away a player of his quality."

Rose was ineligible to play against his parent club on Saturday as Spurs earned a 2-1 win at Sunderland in the Premier League.
