Rodriguez sinks Black Cats
Jay Rodriguez converted a first-half penalty as Burnley beat Premier League side Sunderland 1-0 in a pre-season friendly at Turf Moor.[LNB] The England Under-21 international made no mistake from the spot just after the half-hour having been brought down by Black Cats defender Titus Bramble.[LNB]South Korean striker Ji Dong-won twice had chances to level for the visitors in the closing stages, first firing wide before being denied by Clarets goalkeeper Lee Grant.
