Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn is as excited as any fan at the prospect of seeing first summer signing Cristian Riveros in action.[LNB] The 27-year-old Paraguay international completed a free transfer to the Black Cats from Mexican side Cruz Azul last week and along with compatriot Paulo Da Silva, is now preparing for the World Cup finals.[LNB]However, Quinn admits he cannot wait to see him in the red and white of Sunderland.[LNB]He told the club's official website: "Without wanting to put too much pressure on him, Cristian is a very talented player with fantastic ability on the ball.[LNB]"He will have been to the World Cup by the time he pulls on our shirt and hopefully, that will have gone well for him.[LNB]"He has his pal, Paulo, here as well and that should be a good help.[LNB]"Paulo came here cold, it was really the adventure of all adventures for him to come here and uproot his family.[LNB]"Paulo really feels like the north-east is his home now and he played a big part in persuading Cristian to come here.[LNB]"I can't wait to see Cristian have a go, and I hope the Sunderland fans take him to their hearts.[LNB]"He is a very committed player with good skill and a bit of craft. I think he will be made to feel very welcome here."
