Redknapp Out-Thought O'Neill
Harry Redknapp reckons Rangers put in their best performance since he took charge ... but were Sunderland up to the fight?
Harry Redknapp: “I think that was the best I’ve seen us play today, particularly in the first half.
“It was a good day for us, back-to-back wins for the first time since I don’t know when in the Premier League.
“We’ve been drawing 0-0 a lot but you can see goals in the team now.
“We played a very open team because we needed to win. We went for it and it worked.
“I felt we started the game well and we were the better team.
“Against the run of play we conceded a goal from our set-play, they broke on us and we suddenly found ourselves one down.
“But we didn’t feel sorry for ourselves and two great goals finished them off.”
But discontented Sunderland supporters would not argue that Queens Park Rangers won with ease, despite looking little better than their perilous position in the Premier League suggests.
Both of these teams LOOKED Championship contenders - only we were the worse of the two.
With players like Simon Mignolet, Stephane Sessegnon, Adam Johnson, John O'Shea, Seb Larsson and Steven Fletcher in a starting lineup, why are we heading down the Road To Hell?
With the exception of Sessegnon, what Sunderland player deserved to pick up his wages?
Danny Graham has been utterly anonymous since his costly move from Swansea City, and he missed the chance of the match.
