Pools defender fears O'Donovan exit

Hartlepool United defender Neil Austin admits the club will be lucky to keep on-loan striker Roy O'Donovan at Victoria Park.[LNB] The Irish forward has scored nine goals in 13 games since arriving on loan from Sunderland and has played a crucial role in helping Pools pull away from the League One relegation zone.[LNB]However, Austin is aware that O'Donovan's form has attracted the attentions of several Championship clubs and Hartlepool will be powerless to stop him should he wish to leave for pastures new.[LNB]"He's been magic for us, hasn't he? Nine goals in 13 is fantastic at any level," Austin told the Sunderland Echo.[LNB]"If we could keep him here for next year it would be a massive boost. But obviously there's going to be clubs looking at him.[LNB]"I think our other Irish boys are trying to get into his ribs. But it's Roy's decision at the end of the day."
