Bardsley wants to stay a Sunderland player according to his agent Phil Bardsley looks to have been put on the transfer list towards the end of last season with the loan deal of Alan Hutton, and currently many rumours of Sunderland being linked to a variety of right backs.  While Spurs have putting too high of a price tag on any  permanent deal for Hutton, Sunderland most recently have been linked to Estudiantes Marcos Angeleri. Bardsley's Agent Des Wroe has said, "Of course Phil wants to play first-team football which is no different from any other player. "But Phil will happily go back to Sunderland in pre-season and fight it out with any new signings that Steve Bruce decides to make in his position. "Phil loves being at Sunderland - he loves the club and I don't think he would want to move in an ideal world. "It's a good club and he's certainly not got a problem with anyone there. He's a positive lad and he'll go in and have confidence that he can prove his worth to the manager. "I think if someone comes in for him and Sunderland accept a bid then obviously that may change, but Phil will happily be back at the club over the summer."
