Onuoha wary of Spurs threat

Nedum Onuoha knows Sunderland will have their work cut out if they are to avoid making it three defeats in a row on Saturday. The Black Cats followed last week's home loss to Chelsea with a last-gasp defeat by Stoke at the weekend, and dropped below Liverpool to seventh place in the Barclays Premier League as a result. They will hope to stop the rot when Tottenham visit the Stadium of Light, but Onuoha has been hugely impressed with Spurs' progress this season. He told the club`s official website: "Saturday's game is a big one because we've lost the last two. People will be looking at us to win at home and to do that we're going to have to be right on top of our game. "We're still definitely in a good position in the league. If someone had offered us this at the beginning of the season we'd definitely have taken it. It's a good foundation to push on from. "Spurs have been very good this season. They're still competing for the title at this stage of the season, which says a lot about them and their ambition."
