Norwich v Sunderland live

Follow Sportsmail's coverage of the Barclays Premier League as Norwich host Sunderland at Carrow Road to wrap up the weekend's fixtures. Both sides recorded their first league wins of the season last time out and another three points tonight could see the winner move up to eighth in the table.[LNB]Email your comments to martin.domin@dailymail.co.uk or via Twitter @martin.domin[LNB] 9.00pm: That's all from me but Dan Ripley will be here tomorrow night with all the action from the Champions League.[LNB]8.57pm: Plenty of questions for Steve Bruce to answer meanwhile; Sunderland lacked ideas and a killer instinct up front. [LNB]8.55pm: Norwich run out deserved winners despite a nervy end. Paul Lambert's men are up to ninth with their first home win of the season.[LNB]FULL TIME! Norwich 2 Sunderland 1[LNB]90 + 5 mins: Mignolet launches the ball forward and it eventuallly falls for Richardson but he can't get the shot away. That should be that.[LNB]90 + 4 mins: Kyle Naughton is booked as Sunderland get one last chance...[LNB]90 + 2 mins: Poor back pass from Barnett gifts Sunderland a corner but they can't make it count.[LNB]90 + 1 mins: And there will be five added minutes.[LNB]90 mins: James Vaughan is struggling with an injury; not a nice sight when you consider his history of knee problems. He will play no further part and Norwich must see out added time with 10 men.[LNB]89 mins: First booking of the game as John O'Shea is shown a yellow card.[LNB]87 mins: Didn't see that one coming. It does however mean that my prediction is currently spot on. Bonus.[LNB]86 mins: Kieran Richardson finds the bottom corner of the net from the left hand side of the box. Game on![LNB]86 mins: GOAL! Norwich 2 Sunderland 1[LNB]85 mins: James Vaughan takes advantage of more slack defending from Bramble who is very high up the field. The sub tries his luck from range and sends the ball whistling wide of the post.[LNB]84 mins: Grant Holt is squashed by a falling Titus Bramble but he gets up. Lee Croft comes on for Bennett.[LNB]81 mins: Norwich still pressing forward when they can with little response from the visitors.[LNB]78 mins: Double change for Norwich. Pilkington is relpaced by James Vaughan while Grant Holt comes on for Morison.[LNB]75 mins: Sunderland are trying to raise their game with Wickham showing some nice touches but their play in the final third is letting them down.[LNB]69 mins: Almost an instant impact from Wickham as Elmohamady crosses for the youngster but he doesn't quite connect with the header and Ruddy collects.[LNB]68 mins: First change of the match as Connor Wickham replaces Sess?gnon while Ji is on for Larsson. Wickham gets a less than warm welcome from the Norwich fans, having joined Sunderland from Ipswich.[LNB]63 mins: At the other end, Chris Martin has a chance but his shot flies across the face of goal.[LNB]63 mins: Another chance for Bendtner as he seizes on a mistake from Bradley Johnson but the Danish striker is denied by a superb save from Ruddy.[LNB]58 mins: Larsson gives the ball away and Morison breaks but he can't get the better of Bramble and the big defender gets it clear.[LNB]54 mins: Norwich not showing any sign of sitting back as Bennett fires a shot in goal that is saved by Mignolet.[LNB] Glory: Steve Morison (right) rises high to head home his side's second goal (above) and then celebrates (below)[LNB] [LNB] 52 mins: Sess?gnon's effort from outside the box is truly woeful. Difficult to see a way back for Steve Bruce's men now.[LNB]48 mins: The Canaries are well and truly flying now. Steve Morison is the scorer but good work on the left from Marc Tierny that presented him with the chance. Morison is another who was playing in the lower leagues, albeit the Championship, last season. Only two years since he was playing non-league football though while Tierney was snapped up from Colchester.[LNB]48 mins: GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Norwich 2 Sunderland 0![LNB]46 mins: Sunderland get us back underway...[LNB]8.55pm: Hardly a surprise that changes have been few and far between. Sunderland far from out of this, particularly if they can get Elmohamady involved more often, he looks their most dangerous outlet.[LNB]HALF TIME: Norwich 1 Sunderland 0[LNB]45 +1 mins: Seb Larsson tries to pick out Bendtner in the middle but the on-loan striker can't quite make a good enough connection and the ball trickles wide.[LNB]45 +1 mins: Just the one added minute at Carrow Road.[LNB]45 mins: Wes Brown makes a hash of his clearance which allows Hoolahan to have a shot on goal which is deflected behind for a corner.[LNB]43 mins: Not a lot to smile about for Steve Bruce, I'm sure he'll have a few choice words for his charges at the break.[LNB] Breakthrough: Barnett taps the ball home to put Norwich in front against Sunderland[LNB]37 mins: The visitors do however have a chance to get right back in the game but Sess?gnon is another Black Cat who fails to get his shot on target.[LNB]36 mins: The home fans begin a rendition of 'what a waste of money' and you could say they have a point. Steve Bruce is yet to see a return on his summer outlay.[LNB]33 mins: For playing the better football, Norwich deserve that. I've been impressed by Lambert's side, baring in mind, and I mean this in the nicest possible way, there are no superstars in the team. Bennett was playing League One football last season, as was Pilkington who joined from Huddersfield but who has looked handy on the left wing.[LNB]31 mins: GOAL! Norwich 1-0 Sunderland. Cracking build-up from the home side. Elliott Bennett plays a neat one-two with David Fox and Leon Barnett has a simple tap in from the former Brighton man's cross.[LNB]26 mins: Another chance for Sunderland but a bit trickier this time. Good work from St?phane Sess?gnon is followed by a neat ball into Bendtner but is volley is carefully watched by John Ruddy.[LNB]24 mins: Hoolahan is impressing for Norwich. Like his boss, he spent time with Livingston in Scotland before moving south.[LNB]21 mins: Chance! Bendtner plays the ball across the edge of the box for Craig Gardner but he fails to find the target as the ball sails over the bar. Should have done much better there, the midfielder.[LNB]19 mins: Norwich are far more fluent with the ball at their feet. Sunderland tend to look for the long ball into Bendtner but Elmohamady does look dangerous on the right.[LNB]16 mins: Mignolet doesn't look particularly confident in the Sunderland goal. The Black Cats could do with Craig Gordon regaining fitness some time soon.[LNB] Foot in: Steve Morison of Norwich is challenged by Wes Brown of Sunderland[LNB]12 mins: After a bright start, play has settled down at Carrow Road.[LNB]8 mins: Norwich upping the ante here with David Fox playing a delicious ball out to Anthony Pilkington on the right. His cross is cut out by Mignolet however.[LNB]7 mins: Mignolet then makes a mess of a clearance as he slices the ball behind for a corner. Norwich can't take advantage however.[LNB]6 mins: You won't believe this but Titus Bramble misjudges a long ball from the Norwich defence which allows Wes Hoolahan in on goal but he fires wildly over.[LNB]4 mins: Norwich break up the field and Steve Morison works the ball on to his right foot on the edge of the box but Simon Mignolet is equal to it.[LNB]3 mins: Sunderland are enjoying the bulk of the early possession without getting too close to the Norwich goal.[LNB]1 min: And Norwich get us underway...[LNB]7.55pm: I'm a big fan of Paul Lambert so on that basis alone, I'll plump for a 2-1 Norwich win. With QPR and Swansea failing to win over the weekend, Norwich have a chance to establish themselves as the best of the new boys. Still early days, mind.[LNB]7.50pm: Sunderland on the other hand have failed to win in their last 13 Premier League matches on a Monday since a 2-1 home victory against Leicester City in April 2002. They have never won in all 11 Premier League away matches on a Monday. Now that's a fact.[LNB]7.45pm: Fifteen minutes away from kick-off. Big chance for one of these sides to climb up the table but the Canaries are looking for back-to-back Premier League victories for the first time since April 2005 when they beat Newcastle and Charlton at Carrow Road.[LNB] Man on a mission: Nicklas Bendtner will be looking to open his account for Sunderland tonight[LNB]7.40pm: Can't see there being many goals in this one. Norwich have scored just once at home with Sunderland doing likewise away from the Stadium of Light.[LNB]7.36pm: Paul Lambert's side have conceded a penalty in each of their first five league games this season - equalling the Premier League record set by Wimbledon in August 1999.[LNB]7.35pm: A few stats for those that enjoy that sort of thing. The last five league meetings between these clubs have ended 1-0 in favour of the home side (Norwich have won twice, and Sunderland three times). [LNB]7.32pm: Norwich: Ruddy, Naughton, Russell Martin, Barnett, Tierney, Bennett, Bradley Johnson, Fox, Pilkington, Hoolahan, Morison. Subs: Rudd, Crofts, Vaughan, Holt, Surman, Chris Martin, De Laet.Sunderland: Mignolet, O'Shea, Brown, Bramble, Richardson, Elmohamady, Larsson, Gardner, Vaughan, Bendtner, Sessegnon. Subs: Westwood, Turner, Cattermole, Wickham, Colback, Ji, McClean.[LNB]Referee: Chris Foy (Merseyside)[LNB]7.31pm: Norwich manager Paul Lambert has named an unchanged side for tonight's encounter, keeping faith with the six players brought in for last week's 2-1 win at Bolton. That means captain Grant Holt has be content with a place on the bench as Wales striker Steve Morison leads the attack.[LNB]Sunderland recorded their first win of the season when they beat Stoke 4-0 and are also unchanged, with on-loan striker Nicklas Bendtner up front.[LNB]7.30pm: Welcome to Sportsmail's coverage of the week's final Premier League clash between Norwich and Sunderland.[LNB] On a roll: Norwich secured their first win of the season at Bolton in their previous fixture[LNB]  Sunderland boss Bruce was stunned by vitriol after early defeatsNORWICH v Sunderland: No new injury concerns for Lambert with Whitbread hamstrungNorwich v SUNDERLAND: Bruce with no new concerns for clash with CanariesAll the latest Norwich City news, features and opinionAll the latest Sunderland news, features and opinion[LNB]
