Nedum Onuoha wants to stay

Theres only Man City's price tag to get out of the way. Sunderland on loan defender Nedum Onuoha has again spoke out about staying on at Sunderland once his current loan contract runs out at the end of the season. The 24 year old has played right across the back four this season, but mainly in the right back position in which he has made it his own with a string of solid performances.   Even scoring a wonder goal against Chelsea which at the time was compared to that of the best player in  the world lionel Messi. Being interviewed last night the player pretty much admitted that the only thing in the way of him joining the Black Cats on a full contract is his home club of Manchester City. Onuoha came through the ranks at City but has struggled to gain himself a regular first team place, even when he was tipped as a hot prospect playing for England’s u21 international team. There are many rumours of several clubs monitoring the defenders progress, but Sunderland seemed to have convinced the player in staying, next will be convincing his club to let him go. Sunderland will have money to spend in the summer transfer window, but its highly publicised that there the first priority will be a striker.
