Muntari may leave Black Cats - agent

Sunderland appear to have ruled out signing on-loan Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari on a permanent deal. Muntari's agent Fabian Piveteau claims the Black Cats have decided he is "too expensive". It is said the club would have considered smashing their wage structure to sign the Ghanaian on a long-term basis had he shown the form he had previously displayed at Portsmouth and Inter Milan. Piveteau said: "There is no chance for Sulley. He is too expensive." Piveteau added that he is more optimistic about fellow client John Mensah's chances of gaining a third loan deal at the Stadium of Light from his parent club Lyon. He said: "For John there is a good chance. The situation with him is that if he played 25 games he would definitely sign for Sunderland but he has only played 18 at the moment. He has not played all of the games but it has been a different type of injury this season for John."
