Mensah seals Black Cats switch

Sunderland have completed the signing of Ghana defender John Mensah from Lyon. Mensah becomes manager Steve Bruce's sixth signing of the summer, joining Paulo da Silva, Lee Cattermole, Lorik Cana, Fraizer Campbell and Darren Bent at the Stadium of Light. The 26-year-old joins on a season-long loan and Sunderland have the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season, according to the club's official website.
