McShane agrees 1.5m Hull switch as Keane eyes triple Sunderland swoop

Sunderland defender Paul McShane has been given a fresh chance to revive his career with a second move to Hull City. The former Manchester United trainee, who spent five months on loan at the KC Stadium last season, has agreed personal terms with Phil Brown and was having a medical last night to complete a £1.5 million move. Currently recovering from knee surgery, McShane is expected to resume training next week. Paul McShane Tigers target: Paul McShane played on loan at Hull last season Tigers assistant manager Brian Horton said: 'Macca was terrific with us when he was last here. He's one player we've looked at. I'm sure there'll be movement before the window closes.' Roy Keane meanwhile wants to re-sign Daryl Murphy, Carlos Edwards and Nyron Nosworthy from Sunderland and boss Steve Bruce is unlikely to stand in the way of all three. They will replace former England Under-21 striker Jon Stead and Irish midfielders Owen Garvan and Alan Quinn, who have all been told they will never play for Keane again. In another change, Keane has axed skipper Gareth McAuley and replaced him with fellow defender Alex Bruce.
