McClean 'Colours In His Boots'
James McClean is still getting into awkward situations on Twitter.
He is currently in Sweden ahead of Ireland's World Cup qualifier - and has been photographed apparently 'colouring in' his football boots ahead of the big game.
The Sunderland midfielder closed down his Twitter account last month after finding himself embroiled in IRA controversy.
McClean has previously been abused on the social networking site after opting not to play for Northern Ireland, and for his decision not to wear a Remembrance Day poppy on his shirt.
He also landed himself in hot water with international manager Giovanni Trapattoni after expressing his disgust at being left out of the team for the World Cup qualifier in Kazakhstan in September, and later issued an apology to the Italian.
But Ireland teammate James McCarthy is tweeting for him saying: "Can't believe what I'm seeing!!,"
"The boy Mclean colouring in his boots!"
And he posted the picture as proof
