Mags And Mackems Head-To-Head For Graham?

Sunderland have emerged as favourites - ahead of Newcastle United - to sign Danny Graham after lining up a bid for the £5million-rated Swansea striker.

With Fraizer Campbell out of contract at the end of the season, Martin O’Neill has moved to reinforce his striking options by targeting Gateshead-born Graham.

Though there is also interest from Norwich, Aston Villa, West Brom, Reading and Southampton, O’Neill looks to be in pole position to take the 27-year old back to his native north-east. Signed from Watford for £3.5million 18 months ago, Graham has struggled to get into the team, after Michu’s spectacular impact at the Liberty Stadium this season.

O’Neill is looking for a strike partner for Steven Fletcher and is about to test Swansea with a bid.
