Louis Saha set to be released by Sunderland Former France international striker Louis Saha has been told that he can leave Sunderland on a free transfer.
The 34-year-old, who joined the club from Spurs in August, has not made a Premier League start this season. Black Cats boss Martin O'Neil said they had come to an agreement to cancel his contract should he find a new club. Saha, who has also played for Newcastle, Fulham, Manchester United and Everton, is reportedly interesting a side in South Africa.
He appeared 14 times this season, mostly as a substitute, without scoring.
He had considered retirement in the summer after being released by Spurs following a short-term spell at White Hart Lane.
